It will be an epic battle for bragging rights,

Eight food trucks from New Jersey will go up against eight from Pennsylvania at the inaugural Food Truck Border Brawl, noon-7 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem’s SteelStacks campus.

Most of the trucks on the Pennsylvania side hail from the Philadelphia area, includingMusikfest favorite The Cow and the Curd, which specializes in Wisconsin batter-fried cheese curds with dipping sauces.

Two area trucks will be part of the event: Chick ‘n’ Cone of Mount Bethel, which specializes in portable chicken and waffles as well as fries; and Cinnamini Donuts of Royersford, Montgomery County, which offers doughnut ice cream sundaes, mini-doughnuts and freshly squeezed lemonade.

New Jersey trucks include The Thai Elephant of Totowa, N.J., and Surf and Turf Truck of Hamilton, N.J., which serves lobster rolls.

The food trucks will be evaluated by a panel of experts, but you can also help pick a winner for the People’s Choice award.

The Border Brawl also will include music by local and regional bands. Following the event, you can enjoy a free Levitt Pavilion show by Blues Music Award winner The Cedric Burnside Project at 7:30 p.m.

All proceeds from Border Brawl ticket sales will support the nonprofit ArtsQuest’s free music, arts and education programming, including Musikfest, the largest free music festival in the nation, set for Aug. 5-14.

Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 day of the event. A VIP Pass, which includes a Musikfest 2016 mug and early access to the Border Brawl 11 a.m.-noon, is $21 in advance and $23 day of the event. Info: www.steelstacks.org and 610-332-3378.
