Cleveland, OH: Cleveland’s Walnut Wednesday food truck lineup for June 8, plus Edgewater Live begins

It’s June, the month with the longest days and some of the nicest weather. Standing on line at a food truck is not such a bad thing.

It’s June, the month with the longest days and some of the nicest weather. Standing on line at a food truck is not such a bad thing.

Walnut Wednesday is swinging this week with 19 trucks, but don’t forget two other big gatherings are starting this week in the Cleveland Metroparks – Edgewater Live and Euclid Beach Live.

Here’s a full list of trucks for Walnut Wednesday, Find Walnut Wednesday 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Perk Plaza, East 12th and Walnut Streets, just south of Superior Avenue:

MANNA FOOD TRUCK Eggplant fries with pesto sauce, lobster grilled cheese, braised beef brisket with cherry cola barbecue sauce, lamb meatball gyro.

MOTOR MOUTH Globally inspired gourmet street food, Cubans, Sexi Mexi Burger, Mojo Tacos.

STUFF YOURSELF House burger stuffed with secret ingredient, Cuyahoga Burger, the Cuban, battered and fried Peanut Butter and Jelly, fresh-cut fries.

SWEET! THE MOBILE CUPCAKERY Gourmet cupcakes, such as Billy Idol, a white wedding cupcake with vanilla buttercream, hint of almond.

SWENSON’S DRIVE IN Iconic Akron burgers, including the Galley Boy; fries; shakes.

WHOLLY FRIJOLES Authentic Mexican food beyond tacos, with build-your-own burritos, nachos or tacos.

WOK N ROLL Authentic pan-Asian dishes, Vietnamese Caramelized Pork Belly and more; sodas made with Cleveland Tea Revival products.

WRAP IT UP Wrapped creative comfort foods. Chorizo Meatloaf & Crispy Potato, Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese, Adobo Chicken Wrap with jasmine rice, black beans, corn, pico de gallo, cilantro aioli and cheese.

JT’S BARBECUE Barbecue sandwiches (pulled pork and chicken, smoked kielbasa) and specialty sandwiches.

FIRE TRUCK PIZZA COMPANY Wood-fired pizza made with a wide array of toppings, served from two retrofitted fire trucks.


Here’s a full list of trucks heading to the first Edgewater Live of the season, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday June 9 at the park, just off the Shoreway (Ohio 2), west of downtown:

216 BISTRO Upscale comfort food with a twist. Eighty items including Doublewide Mac and Cheese Melt, Jimmy Burger, fried bologna, chicken flatbread, rosemary and sea-salt tater tots, sweet potato tacos, lobster roll.

BARRIO TACOS Gourmet tacos from a three-truck empire, twice-marinated chicken, house-made chorizo, black bean, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free.

BECKHAM’S B AND M BAR B Q Barbecued meats, pulled pork, ribs, chicken.

FIRED UP TACO TRUCK Three trucks producing empanadas, (deep-fried dough pockets filled with meat and veggies), tacos, fries, drinks. Will make gluten-free, vegan.

KRAV FOOD TRUCK Mediterranean with Korean and Latin flair, including Korean barbecue, fries with chipotle mayonnaise.
