The popular JerseyFest Food Truck Mash Up returns to Meadowlands Racetrack June 4.
This year organizers plan to offer live music by Men of Horses, entertainment and racing to accompany the multiple food trucks on site, plying their wares.
The event’s co-sponsors are the racetrack, Exposure and North Jersey Media Group.
According to the event’s website, New Jersey food trucks participating include Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream; Callahan’s Hot Dogs; El Lechon De Negron; Empanada Guy; Jersey Girl Smoothies; Luke’s Lobster; Ma & Pa’s TexMex BBQ; Polkadot Cupcake; Sanducci’s Wood Fired Pizza; Taxi Cab Burger; Thai Elephant; The Angry Crab; The French Quarter; Try Vegan; and Waffle De Lys.
Philadelphia trucks are joining in too. From Philly are: Bakes on Board (Pretzels); Chick’N Cone; Dump N Roll; Mama’s Meatballs; Oink and Moo BBQ; PB&U; Philly Fry; Pompier Pierogi Flats; The Cow and The Curd; The Pizza Wagon; and The Flying Pie Guy.
Craft brews will be offered by Kohler and Ale Street News and cocktails sponsored by Firefly will be available.
An early admission package is $30 which includes a $2 betting voucher and $5 MashUp cash to redeem at the food trick.
General admission for the event is $5.
Tour Hoboken’s Secret Gardens
The Hoboken History Museum’s annual Secret Garden Tour is scheduled for Sunday, June 5.
Seven or eight unique gardens will be open that day and guided walking tours depart every 30 minutes from the museum at 1301 Hudson St. between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Tours are first-come, first-served.
Organizers advise participants to wear comfortable shoes and sunscreen.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 the day of the event.

Riverview Jazz Fest gets underway
The weeklong Riverview Jazz Festival opens June 3, will a full evening lineup at Maxwell’s and venues throughout Jersey City.
It all gets underway at City Life, 125 First St., Jersey City, from 7 to 10 p.m., with a jam session by the RJO All-Stars.
The festival runs through June 11.
Most of the events are at locations throughout Jersey City, but venues in Hoboken and one in Union City are participating during the week.
