FORT WORTH, Texas (April 24, 2012) – Cowtown Chow Down, Fort Worth’s newest food truck park, is pleased to announce that it will open for business on Thursday, May 17, 2012. Cowtown Chow Down is conveniently located between the Downtown Cultural District and the Fort Worth Stockyards, and offers one of the largest selections of gourmet food truck dining options in the Dallas‐Fort Worth metropolitan area.
Cowtown Chow Down’s grand opening weekend will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 17. Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price, District 2 City Council Member Sal Espino, and various other city and local business representatives will be in attendance during the inauguration of the food truck park. The public is invited to participate in this ceremony, and to be amongst some of the first food truck park customers immediately following. Additional grand opening celebrations are planned during the weekend of May 19‐20.
Cowtown Chow Down can accommodate as many as 20 gourmet food trucks. Different types of dining options are available, including covered outdoor seating and indoor climate‐controlled seating. Also onsite is the Sno‐Ball Corral, which has been serving up gourmet snow cones since 2002. Plans include an arts and crafts corner where visitors can browse the wares of local artists, as well as live entertainment by local musicians and bands. Off‐street parking is always available.
The vision of General Manager Charlie Flores is to make Cowtown Chow Down one of the best food truck parks in the entire state of Texas. “It’s been great to see how excited the community is about this food truck park. Food truck owners are excited to park with us, and visitors are excited about being able to choose from so many different dining options.” Cowtown Chow Down is a family owned and operated business. The Flores Family also operates food concessions at LaGrave Field, Texas Motor Speedway, and QuikTrip Park.
