Ft. Worth, TX: YES! Taco Food Truck to Open Off Magnolia Avenue

by Kevin Buchanan of Fortworthology

Fort Worth’s urban food truck scene is slowly but surely starting to take root in redeveloping walkable neighborhoods near downtown, and here’s the newest example: We’ve just heard through the grapevine that a new food truck will be coming in the near future to SiNaCa Studios School of Glass at Magnolia & Washington.

YES! Taco will be setting up shop with their big orange truck at SiNaCa, though we don’t yet have hours of operation. (We also understand that they’ll be at the Fort Worth South networking breakfast next Wednesday, June 1st, at 8 a.m. at Yogis-R-Us at 714 W. Magnolia.)

YES! Taco is still putting together a web site, but their Facebook page is up and running, as is a fledgling Twitter account. This makes the second food truck to set up shop on Magnolia Avenue.

We look forward to YES! Taco’s arrival – SiNaCa’s old gas station building is another good example of a space that can be nicely pedestrianized by a food truck, as it (like Avoca Coffee with the Wiener Man food truck) is set back from the street. Food carts and trucks can help fill in these otherwise unengaged setback spaces with pedestrian-oriented activity and help improve pedestrian activity. Once we have hours of operation and such we’ll update, as well as add that info to Food Trucks Fort Worth.
