You’re going to have to wait a little longer for the chance to eat a French-toast sandwich called the Justin Bieber.

Nonprofit development group Downtown Huntsville Inc. is pressing “pause” on the first-ever breakfast version of its popular food-truck events, which had been set for 7 – 10 a.m. Saturday, June 27.

“After consulting with local meteorologists, we are postponing the breakfast edition of the Street Food Gatherings tomorrow morning until future date,” DHI director of communications Katelyn Sides said in a press release. “With a 60 percent chance of rain and a chance of gusty winds, we concluded that the weather would affect our guests and our food vendors. We will let you know as soon as possible when the date will be set.”

I Love Bacon’s Justin Bieber – with ingredients including applewood smoked bacon, maple cream cheese – was one of the food-truck items planned for the event. Twelve local vendors had been lined up, ranging from Bigfoot’s Little Donuts to Cottage Crepes to Sugar Belle Cupcakes.

Downtown Huntsville Inc. began hosting its Street Good Gatherings in 2013. The first full season, which runs April to October, took place last year.

DHI also has breakfast food truck events scheduled on North Side Square for July 25 and Aug. 29, according to downtownhuntsville.org. Regular, evening editions are set for July 17, Aug. 21, Sept. 18 and Oct. 16.
