Several Huntsville food trucks have come up with unique breakfast dishes to kick off your holiday weekend.
The first-ever breakfast edition Downtown Street Food Gathering has been rescheduled for Friday, July 3, from 7-10 a.m. on the north side of the historic Courthouse Square. Admission is free.
Organizers originally planned the event for June 27 but decided to postpone because of a stormy forecast.
With the Madison County Courthouse and many other downtown businesses closed Friday in observance of the July Fourth holiday, you shouldn’t have much trouble finding parking on the street or in the Clinton Avenue garage a block off the Square.
Downtown Huntsville Inc. has lined up the following food trucks and mobile vendors for the inaugural breakfast gathering:
Belly
Fire & Spice
Hotbox
I Love Bacon
Piper & Leaf
Sugar Belle
Washington Square Catering
Wild Bean Coffee
The Washington Square food truck is operated by chefs from The Bottle and Humphrey’s Bar & Grill.
All vendors participating Friday are required to have at least one breakfast dish on the menu.
“Some will have an entirely breakfast menu,” Downtown Huntsville Inc. CEO Chad Emerson told AL.com Tuesday. “So you will be able to eat something you’ve never had before from a food truck in downtown Huntsville.”
Other breakfast food truck events are scheduled for July 25 and Aug. 29, also on North Side Square. Regular, evening editions are set for July 17, Aug. 21, Sept. 18 and Oct. 16 on Church Street.
