He is an example of the ads MyBurger is running to help “compete” with the food trucks.

Larry Abdo, owner of the MyBurger restaurant on the skyway level of 601 Marquette Ave. S. in downtown Minneapolis, has developed a series of ads to try to lure people from the food trucks up to his skyway-level eatery.

Abdo and other restaurant owners are pressing the city to toughen ruls and fees on food trucks. Abdo said he doesn’t mind the competition and says the food trucks bring vibrancy to the city.

MyBurger in Minneapolis is using signs like this to try to lure people away from food trucks on the street to its skyway-level eatery.

“I just want a level playing field,” he said.
