The Acacia Café from Little Compton will be amongst the participating vendors at this year’s 2nd annual Newport Food Truck Festival.
The festival takes place on Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Newport Yachting Center.
The festival will feature more than a dozen of New England’s most popular food trucks – many of which returning to the festival for the second year in a row!
The trucks will be serving up everything from gourmet grilled cheese to barbecue ribs, to taco varieties, pesto pizza and lobster rolls, plus dessert trucks with homemade ice cream sandwiches, whoopee pies, cupcakes and more. The festival will also feature sampling tents, live music, and beer and wine for sale.
The 2013 season will also include a new ticketing system, with wristbands for sale at a discounted price in advance online for $7, and $10 at the festival, with $1 benefiting the American Red Cross. The wristband will lower attendee’s Festival Food prices at all trucks.
All trucks will be serving small bites for wristband holders as well as full meals for all attendees.
Trucks will accept cash and credit (most), and there will be ATMs on site. Lower-priced advance tickets, information and the most up-to-date news can be found online at www.foodtruckfestivalsofne.com or by calling or by calling (617) 782-7117.
