Food Truck Fest is underway at Redstone Arsenal and people are turning put en masse. Marshall Space Flight Center’s Exchange organized the week-long event.
“On a daily basis there are 10,000 to 15,000 cars going through this corner,” said Jose Matienzo, who helped organize the event. “There are not a lot of places to eat on site and to offer an alternative we decided to take this parking lot which is a prime location and capture some of those people heading out the gate,” he continued.
The event appears to be a good deal for the truck owners as well.
“Yesterday the pizza folks sold 120 whole pizzas in 45 minutes and the Lobstah sold over 300 servings I believe in 2 hours,” said Matienzo.

Food trucks will be offering a variety of delicious options through August 29th. The trucks line up in the parking lot of building 4610/4612 at the corner of Martin Road and Rideout Roadfrom 11am-1pm or until they run out of food. Seating and shade is available and Matienzo says they have plans to add even more sitting areas in the future.
