The beef in the smoked cheddar cheeseburger comes from MSU’s herds, either on campus or in the Upper Peninsula. The smoked cheddar and sharp cheddar (the official name leaves out the latter) come at least partly from MSU dairy cows and entirely from the MSU Dairy Store. The greens come from the university’s Student Organic Farm.

The thing about our menu is it’s back-to-basics, with some modern twists on a comfort food. So while it’s grilled cheese, they are a little more modern, but they are still comforting.

Those who love the special appeal of "grills on wheels" will be relieved to know, however, that the truck is simply hibernating during a winter sabbatical and will return in late February or early March as the weather improves.

Has the food truck been stolen, or is there something else going on here?

This meal was totally worth the hour-long wait. I wasn't sure what filling to expect in the vegan tacos, but the crumbled veggie burger was perfect.
