A new food truck, Pikes Peak Authentic German Food and Catering(pikespeakgermanfood.com), launched this past Saturday at Great Storm Brewing, and is planning future Saturdays there as well, in addition to soon-to-be-announced dates at Monument's Pikes Peak Brewing.

Greek salad was a nice way to finish lunch. Lettuce, cucumber, tomato, red onions, feta cheese and balsamic vinaigrette was a real, refreshing Greek salad.

Nationwide, food carts are booming in popularity because they offer quick, diverse meals at low prices.

Finding a spot is always a difficult task for any new food truck or cart. But one of the first rules of the street is you shouldn’t set up near another cart, truck, or restaurant selling the same kind of food.

For the uninitiated, these are terrific, hefty hot dogs topped with things like teriyaki sauce, mayonnaise and nori, or all things that make you readily believe in their mission statement ("Making the world happy and alive through hot dogs!").
