C’mon guys, look at the ordinance. It’s ridiculous and unreasonable.

A crowd of nearly 10,000 swamped midtown's Fremont Park on Saturday for the Sacramento Mobile Food Festival, hungry for food trucks and sending a message that Sacramento is ripe for a mobile food scene.

As Doctor Who might say, “Food trucks are cool”. And right now they are. And tragically unhip Sacramento is missing out on some great food. It’s also missing out on the economic pie.

Emphasis seems to be on, at least in the media, how fast the orders are cranked out to feed a long line of people at a busy stop.

Mark your calendar for La Cocina's Third Annual San Francisco Street Food Festival, scheduled for Sat., Aug. 20,11 a.m.-7 p.m.

The Mobile Food Festival is coming to Main Street Little Rock from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. October 1. The Downtown Partnership is blocking off a portion of the street, likely between 3rd and 7th, according to DLRP's Sharon Priest.

Friday night's episode of CSI: NY, "Food For Thought," in which the team of detectives enter the "competitive world of gourmet food trucks" where murder was on the menu. Chung Chung! Oh wait that's a different show.

This Friday, come hungry to The Magic City Casino for the first street food festival. The event, which will be held in the casino's parking lot from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature free parking, music, giveaways and 25 trucks, serving up lunch and fun.

The Wheelin' Dealin' Street Food Festival will take place on Friday, March 11th from 11AM - 3PM. Magic City Casino, La Ley Enterprises, La Ley Sports and Burger Beast are sponsoring the event .

There's a new food truck meet up in town: Truckit Fest will gather together dozens of L.A.'s food trucks at downtown Union Station starting March 6, and is slated to be held on the first Sunday of each month.
