Renovations will temporarily close the Lion's Den dining area

Decatur officials hope to lure foodies with a gourmet food festival called Invasion of the Food Trucks.

"We are not a food fest, but we understand that people are going to be out there for six hours and we want to provide amenities," said fest director Frank Malfitano. "At the same time, we understand our audience is looking for something different, something creative."

Two weeks ago city commissioners voted to allow vendors to start applying for food truck licenses.

Food Trucks are now all over the country and everyone has picked up on this relatively inexpensive way to eat and enjoy Gourmet Fast Food.

On May 15, gourmet food trucks will finally be allowed to roam Toronto, park on some streets, and sell meals from parking lots. It's about time.
