The idea for a food truck came during a half-joking conversation with friends. Thompson said he was looking for something entrepreneurial to do after graduating. He said his food is meant to be a form of Fast Food, 2.0, with a focus on creating the best, made-from-scratch burgers possible.

Manganello said the food truck will return to the streets in the next year or so, back to where it truly “belongs,” with catering options available as well

The board also agreed to “start from scratch” and come back with a revised law that would address more of the food truck operators’ concerns after a two-hour public hearing in a packed house that included some ardent arguments and a few tears.
