Food choices will be plentiful at the second annual Rotary Rally! 3-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29 at Keystone Park West, Lake and Thatcher, River Forest. Admission is free.

“We’re going to have nine food trucks. Seven of them are savory — pork sandwiches, pizza, burgers, empanadas, tacos and stuff like that. Two are sweet, gelato and cupcakes,” said Mike Sletten, Executive Director of the River Forest Park District, which cosponsors the event with the Rotary Club of Oak Park-River Forest.

The food trucks will be in the parking lot, which will be fenced in. There will also be a mainstage there with live entertainment, including Ring Shout & Friends.

In the park adjacent to the parking lot, “We’re going to have family activities and a family stage with additional entertainment,” Sletten said. That includes a climbing wall, inflatables, face painting, a magician, a juggler and an interactive drum performance by Steckman’s Outloud Drum and Dance.
