Food Truck & Social Media event to be held June 30 at the Register.

Food Truck & Social Media event to be held June 30 at the Register.

If you haven’t already, please make sure you find time to attend next week’s Social Media Day, held at The Orange County Register in Santa Ana.

Besides getting valuable tips from top social media gurus at this Mashable event, you can catch an amazing food truck lineup.  So far we’ve booked, Spudrunners (one of my favorite new trucks, by the way), Dogzilla Hot Dogs, Chomp Chomp Nation, The Scoop on Cookies , Star Diner (Carl’s Jr.), Dos Chinos, The Lime Truck and Oh for Sweets Sake. (To make your food choices easier, I’ll be posting a mini-profile on each truck attending our event. The stories will start running this weekend.)

The social media speaker lineup is amazing. Get tips from Public Relations Maven Mona Shah (she is a rep for O.C.’s hottest food concepts such as Haven Gastropub and Bruxie) and Kelly Borgen, who pens the uber-popular neighborhood Facebook page and blog, I Heart Old Towne Orange.  Orange County mom, columnist and blogger Suzanne Broughton of OC Family Magazine will also attend.

I’ll be there all afternoon moderating a panel about using social media to build your food blogging audience. I’ll also be hanging out with the food trucks, one of which will be crowned “crowd favorite” on Social Media Day.  Each attendee will be given a chance to vote on their favorite food truck, so if you’re a fan of one of these trucks come support them.

RSVP now: The event is from 3-6 p.m. Address: 625 N. Grand Ave. (Get speaker lineup and more details here.)

Attention trucks: We have one last spot for a food truck. Which truck wants that spot the most?
