Chefs from Maggie’s Farm, Gypsy Queen Cafe, Parts & Labor, Bistro Lunchbox, Corner Pantry and Herb & Soul will join together Sept. 3 for a six-course wine-paired dinner to benefit Meals on Wheels.
“A Gathering of Chefs” will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at a secret location that will be announced the day of the event.
Each food truck or restaurant will be responsible for a course, which include hors d’oeuvres, two appetizers, two entrees and a dessert.
The event kicks off with cocktails from Pen & Quill. Performers from Artists Compound will provide entertainment. An acoustic performance by virtuosos Kristen Toedtman and Cris Jacobs will end the evening.
Damian Bohager, founder and executive director of The Gathering Project, believes that this is one of the first events of its kind in the country.
“We’re excited to bring together food trucks and brick and mortar restaurants,” said Bohager. “This isn’t a competition. This is an opportunity to bring together food trucks and brick and mortars. We’re excited to be the pioneers in that.”
Bohager wants this event to become a reoccurring series happening every five to six weeks. The next event will take place some time in October, he said.
“It will happen rain or shine,” he explained. “It’s a tented event.”
Tickets are $150 per person or $295 per couple on Eventbrite.com. Seating is limited. For more information, visit thegatheringbaltimore.com.
