DANVILLE, Va. (WSET) — Danville hosted its 6th Bridge Street Food Truck Rodeo despite the colder temperatures.
Pizza, doughnuts and barbecue were just a few of the foods offered by the many food trucks that lined up.
The rodeo happens twice a year in the Spring and the Fall. 2019 is the third year for the event.
Organizers say it gives people in Danville a chance to try new foods and it’s a way to bring the community together.
“It’s a good thing for the community and nothing brings people together like good food, good music and a good drink right?” said James Buckner, a Danville City Council member.
Others enjoy seeing people they haven’t seen in a while.
“You get to see people you haven’t seen in a while and meet new people and talk to people at the food trucks,” said Robin Distad, a resident in Danville.
Organizers say there were new vendors set up for the event and they plan to invite new vendors each year.
They expected thousands of people to attend the event on Saturday.
