Houston, TX: Popular Food Truck Offers Free Pizza for Life — If You Tattoo a Logo Design on Your Body

If you love pizza and body art, Pi Pizza Truck has a deal for you.

In celebration of his first anniversary in business, Pi Pizza owner Anthony Calleo has teamed up with Scorpion Studios tattoo artist Gabe Massey, coming up with a slate of Pi-branded tattoo designs that will earn anyone who inks them on their body free pizza for life.

Simple illustrations include a simple pi symbol inside a truck outline, but I’m partial to the skull and pizza slicers and the anthropomorphized peach borracho. There’s also a pizza slice festooned with a ribbon declaring “This pizza kills fascists,” a subtle historical reference to Italian dictator Benito Mussolini’s death by choking on a pepperoni.*

“It’s something I’ve been thinking about for awhile,” Calley told Eater‘s Eric Sandler. “I thought it’d be pretty cool if someone got it tattooed on them. I figured we could bribe them with food.”

Eater reports that the tattoos will cost between $60 and $200, depending on the design. Calley says the free pizza for life deal means “one slice per day for as long as I’m open.” Pi Pizza slices (which are fairly enormous, a quarter of a pie each) range from $6 to $9, and with Pi’s current Thursday through Sunday schedule, a tattooed fan could get $24 to $36 worth of free pizza per week.

Like the old AstroWorld season passes, this deal pays for itself in just a couple weeks.

But those joining in the proud Houston tradition of tattooing themselves with brands will have to wait 11 years (at this rate, though Calley is planning a brick and mortar location) to get enough free pizza to equal the $16,000 haul that model and Astro ex-wife Shaune Bagwell got in 2005 for tattooing GoldenPalace.com over her cleavage for a month.

*This Mussolini demise cause is not even remotely true.
