The small independent business owners that make up the Louisville Street Food Alliance bring their food trucks to the mayor’s office, Sixth and Jefferson streets, on the first Tuesday of every month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The next Food Truck Invasion will be Aug. 6. Members include Lil Cheezers Gourmet Grilled Cheese, Grind Gourmet Burgers, Holy Mole Taco Truck, Johnny’s Diner Car, Sweet N Savory, French-Indo Canada and Snowie Shaved Ice.
YPAL wants ideas for city’s future
Young Professionals Association of Louisville will host a Vision Louisville event Aug. 9 to get its members’ outlook for the next 25 years.
Share your ideas and feedback about future improvements in green initiatives; healthy lifestyle promotion; neighborhoods; economic growth; transit; the arts; or anything that will better the overall identity of Louisville.
Maria Hampton, co-chair of the Mayor’s Vision Louisville initiative, will speak about Vision Louisville and how people can contribute to the direction the community takes. The event will be held at the Bristol Bar and Grille Downtown from 5 to 7 p.m.
Yarmuth to speakat GLI lunch event
Greater Louisville Inc.’s Capitol Connection lunch next month will feature U.S. Rep. John Yarmuth, D-3rd District.
The Aug. 20 meeting will go from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and the cost is $39 for GLI members and $45 for others.
