Monroe, LA: RiverMarket to host “Food Truck Festival” Saturday

The Monroe RiverMarket will host “Food Truck Festival” on Saturday April 18th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Riverwalk.

There will be a wide selection of food trucks from throughout the Northeast Louisiana area. Foods include crawfish, tacos, snow cones, shrimp, cajun fries, and much, much more. Come check out Grill of the Dead from Shreveport, La. and Pit Masters winner Rhoda Brown’s smoking Fatties!

Entertainment for Food Truck Festival includes Brian Sivils kids show 11am – 1pm, guinea pig race at 1pm, and the Ninja Turtles from 11am – 2pm. Do not forget to sign your guinea pig up early by calling 318-807-1735.

The RiverMarket’s spotlighted vendors this weekend have a variety of artisanal items such as hand-turned wooden bowls, goblets, and vases, and handmade jewelry. Spotlighted food vendors will have homemade jellies, jams, salsa, baked bread, pickled items, slider sandwiches, chips and more.

The RiverMarket is located in Downtown Monroe at 316 S. Grand Street across from the courthouse on the Ouachita River. The market is free and open to the public every Saturday.
