Boardwalk on Bulverde will host Holiday on the Boardwalk, its annual food festival and toy drive, this Friday through Sunday.
Admission to this family-friendly event — to take place from noon to 10 p.m. each day — is free, but attendees are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy to support Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign in San Antonio.
Holiday on the Boardwalk will feature all of the food trucks that are staples at the venue such as Rickshaw Stop, Society Bakery, Toastie Buns, Primo Passo Pizzeria, Taco King, Guilty Pleasures, Spice Runner, Sabor Colombiano and KC’s Cones.
Adding even more variety is Boardwalk on Bulverde’s newest eatery on wheels, Totally Shredded, a converted school bus that serves shredded sandwiches.
Boardwalk on Bulverde is a food truck park that opened in January 2011 at 14732 Bulverde Road in north San Antonio between Thousand Oaks Drive and Loop 1604. It is open throughout the year and this is one of the firm’s many food-centric events with a charitable component. The venue features a play area for kids, arcade, moon bounce, mechanical bull, and an appearance by Santa is planned for Friday and Saturday evenings.
