Say goodbye to an old friend this weekend.
It’s the end of a era. The granddaddy of all food truck parks is closing on its fifth anniversary with one last hurrah this weekend.
The Boardwalk on Bulverde (14732 Bulverde Road, 210-850-4472) opened in 2011 with parent company Cruising Kitchens helping pimp out trucks far and wide. The park was the city’s first and preceded The Point Park & Eats, Alamo Street Eat Bar, Toni Joe’s, Random, and others. Cruising Kitchens will expand onto the BoB grounds, to keep up with truck-building demand.
This weekend’s Final Food Truck Throwdown will feature Gracie’s Kitchen, Wheelie Gourmet, KHILL BBQ Company, Slider Provider, Chef “Bully’s what R U making today?”, Gilbo’s Grill, Where Y’at Food Truck, The Fridge-SA and KR’s Geaux-2 Catering, Southern Gourmet On Da Geaux.
Stop by the park between 6-10 p.m. Friday and noon-10 p.m. Saturday for free parking, admission and beer.
