Food truck event coming to Tequesta
The popular foodie-in-the-wild summer event brings some of South Florida’s best mobile kitchens to the zoo, where the gates stay open late, giving guests a chance to dine and imbibe while the zoo’s nocturnal animal ambassadors let out their nighttime roars.
The inaugural food event will feature 13 of South Florida's best food trucks as they "face off" against one another for the title of the event's "best food truck."
The Broward County-based mobile dessert truck specializing in handcrafted gelato, sorbet, and frozen yogurt bars on a stick recently announced that it will be offering franchise models for interested would-be food-truck owners. The move comes after an international partnership Fellows made with the Food Truck Co., based in Dubai.
One clever way for the zoo to ensure their animals stay fed is by partnering with a phalanx of food trucks to feed you! Food trucks in South Florida have proven for the large part that they were not some trendy fad and continue to be some of the more compelling dining destinations available out there. Sure, they might not be the cheapest option but your local fast food chain doesn't have to pay for gas and as seen in this post, probably doesn't use products you could trust.
A Food Trucktopia and an Isle of Art will feature a lineup of Mediterranean to Vegetarian and Argentinean cuisine and local art.
