The Gathering, Baltimore’s traveling food truck rally, is on the road again this weekend for rallies on Friday night and Sunday afternoon.

The rallies, which generally circulate among a handful of locations in Baltimore City, are headed out to … “THE COUNTY.”

Friday’s food truck event will be held at Metro Crossing, a just-completed luxury apartment complex at  Metro Centre in Owings Mills. The event, which runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., will include beer, wine, live music and a chance to chat with some of the folks at Metro Crossing. Drive on over to Grand Central Avenue, Owings Mills, or take the Metro to the Owings Mills stop.

On Saturday, food trucks will be back in action at Green Spring Station in Lutherville. That event, which runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and will also include beer, wine and live music.

All-you-can drink wristbands and more information are on The Gathering website.

On Sunday, Bluegrass Tavern is hosting the Hanover Street Hog and Oyster Roast featuring an all-Maryland lineup of heritage pork form Catoctin Mountain Farms in Sabillasville, Skinny Dipper oysters from True Chesapeake Oyster Co. and beer from Burley Oak Brewing Co. of Berlin. That’s from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Bluegrass Tavern, 1500 Hanover St. For information call 410-244-5101 or go to bluegrasstavern.com.

And for eight days starting on Saturday, some 60 restaurants from Philadelphia to Northern Virginia will feature Maryland-caught seafood on their menus as part of the second annual From the Bay, For the Bay promotion.

Each participating restaurant (you can see the list here) is donating $1 for every seafood dish sold to the Oyster Recovery Partnership. From the Bay, For the Bay is organized by Maryland Seafood, a program of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
