Boston, MA: Greenway Welcomes New Food Trucks for Mobile Eats Season

Kicking off today, the 2013 Greenway Mobile Eats season will host a lineup of 22 food trucks and bike vendors at six locations every day of the week.

This year’s new additions are Baja Taco Truck, Chubby Chickpea, The Coffee Trike, Momogoose, Paris Creperie, Seta’s, and Shuckin’ Truck.

Six-time James Beard Foundation Award nominee and chef Michael Leviton of Area Four in Cambridge is also opening an A4 Truck on the Greenway.

“We’re entering our fourth season of Greenway Mobile Eats, and we’re pleased to be able to provide more vendors in more locations offering a tremendous variety of healthy food choices at very reasonable prices,” Jesse Brackenbury, chief operating officer of the Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy, said in a statement.

The Greenway Mobile Eats program began in 2010. That year the program grossed an earned income of $26,000. The conservancy expects earned revenue to be over $260,000 in 2013.

In 2012, the vendors served 239,000 patrons, a 74 percent increase over the previous year.

The conservancy, which manages the park, said popular food trucks such as Clover, Bon Me, Momogoose and Roxy’s Grilled Cheese will make more appearances this season.
