Chapel Hill, NC: Town to Hold Food Truck Meeting

CHAPEL HILL – The Town of Chapel Hill will hold a public information meeting Monday for food truck vendors who are interested in following Council’s consideration of food truck regulations.

The meeting will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. in the council chamber of Town Hall, 405 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Information will be provided on possible changes to allow food trucks on commercial lots with existing businesses on them, under certain conditions. To learn more about food truck regulations in Chapel Hill, go to

Town staff seeks feedback from local food truck vendors on draft set of guidelines for allowing food trucks in Chapel Hill’s commercial areas. Proposed regulations are scheduled to be heard by the Planning Board at 7 p.m. Sept. 20, and are tentatively scheduled for a public hearing before the Town Council at 7 p.m. Oct. 17 with possible action by Council in November.
