Chris Hodgson, proprietor of the Dim and Den Sum food truck that was at the center of the struggle to allow food trucks in Downtown Cleveland, is taking his talents on the road with his new vittles vehicle, Hodge Podge.

According to bloggers who have spotted filming for season two of the “The Great Food Truck Race “ on the Food Network, Hodge Podge is among the eight food trucks competing.

Food trucks race to a final destination, competing to sell their delicacies along the way. Of course, they’re hit with challenges and obstacles they must overcome. The one who sells the most food each week moves on, the loser goes home.

The show, with celeb chef Tyler Florence hosting, begins airing Aug. 14. Hodgson said he could not comment when Tipoff contacted him via e-mail to ask about Facebook and Twitter chatter and blog posts identifying Hodge Podge as amongst the competitors, serving up food in Denver this morning.

Bloggers in Las Vegas snapped photos of him serving up “Chef’s Steak,” “chix’n’waffles” and the “Hodge Podge Dog” covered with barbecue sauce, tater tots, bacon and purple cabbage pear slaw.

In addition to Vegas and Denver , the “race” includes stops in Santa Monica, Calif.; Salt Lake City; Manhattan, Kan.; Memphis, Tenn., Atlanta, and Miami.

Perhaps in season 3 they’ll roll into the narrowly defined spots Cleveland just freed up for food trucks, provided they have all the right licenses and permits.
