COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (The Gazette) An experimental collection of mobile food trucks at the corner of North Nevada and East Platte avenues will be closing down by the end of the month.

Curbside Cuisine, open since Spring 2013, will be closing and the two current food trucks at the spot, which has hosted eateries ranging from crepes to creole, will have to find other locations to sell.

Hayder Hassan, owner of the Mediterranean Food truck at Curbside Cuisine, said he opened his truck in October and received just three weeks notice that Curbside would shut down and he would have to move to a new location.

“I don’t know where to move. We have been here all winter and didn’t make any money and now the weather is starting to get better and we have to move. It is not fair,” said Hassan, a Sudanese immigrant who served as an Army translator during the Iraq war for four years and recently moved to the Springs from Denver to open the food truck.
