FARGO – South Fargo is getting sweeter. Make that Sweeto.
Sweeto Burrito will move into the former Valentino’s restaurant space at 1443 42nd St. S., most likely this fall, said Kerry Fernholz, a partner in Starmark Hospitality.
A Sweeto Burrito food truck will be set up in the parking lot there once the weather stays warm, Fernholz said.
“We purchased the property with the intent of putting Sweeto in there,” he said, adding that they are working on remodeling plans.
Valentino’s, a quick-service Italian restaurant known for its buffet, closed in late 2012. It had opened in 1984.
Sweeto Burrito, which has a location in downtown Fargo, is also opening in the The Hub, 2525 9th Ave. S., in early June.
It is replacing Sickies Garage, which is moving into the former Hooters building.
Sickies, which has a “50 burgers and 50 brews” concept, is expected to open at 3431 Fiechtner Drive S. on April 28, Fernholz said.
Starmark is the area developer for Sweeto Burrito in a five-state area. Fernholz said a Sweeto is also opening on Columbia Drive in Grand Forks this spring or early summer.
