The Greenville Humane Society will host a dog-friendly festival Saturday, Oct. 5

Featuring live music, local food and craft beers, “Woofstock” will be held from noon to 6 p.m. onWatson-Aviation Road in Greenville. Dogs are invited, but they must be on leashes.

Bands scheduled to perform include Buckwheat Zydeco, Blue Dogs and The Sound Committee.

For those 21 years or older, there will be unlimited samplings from regional craft breweries, including Thomas Creek Brewery, Quest Brewing, Highland Brewing Co., Sweetwater, RJ Rockers, Oskar Blues, Lagunitas, Foothills, Carolina Blonde and more.

Food vendors include Neue Southern Food Truck, Earthfare, Mac’s Speedshop, Moose on the Loose, ThoroughFARE Food Truck, Cool Mama’s Ice Cream, Chicken Salad Chick and Hi Lo BBQ.

Ticket prices are $25 in advance and $30 on the day of the event. A VIP ticket, which includes reserved parking, private bar, food and access to the VIP tent, is available for $50. Proceeds benefit the Humane Society.

The event will be held rain or shine. In case of rain, organizers say the festival will take place at a covered area near the concert field.
