The Food Truck Association of Nova Scotia has joined forces with the Waterfront Development to present Atlantic Canada’s very first Food Truck Rally.
The event will take place, rain or shine, on the Halifax Waterfront at the Sands at Salter (located next to Bishop’s Landing) on Saturday, October 5, between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. (In the event of severe inclement weather, updates will be provided via social media.)
Event organizers say the rally offers an opportunity to “dig into delicious locally sourced dishes, and take the time to meet the individuals behind these small businesses whose creativity and commitment has sparked a local street food culture in Halifax.”
The rally is taking place during City Harvest, the bi-annual event hosted by I Love Local (HFX), a city-wide celebration of community-minded businesses.
Waterfront Development will offer free parking at its waterfront lots on October 5 for City Harvest/Food Truck Rally and free entertainment at Sands at Salter and Queen’s Landing Market — home to a range of outdoor, food, shopping and tour experiences.
