Last night, Zach Knighton, star of the new hit series on ABC, Happy Endings, came out to show his support for the food trucks at the Santa Monica Food truck lot.  Every Tuesday, 10 food trucks gather in the lot to serve the people of Santa Monica and West Los Angeles in the parking lot of the California Heritage Museum.  The weekly event helps raises money for the Museum.

In tonight’s episode of Happy Endings, Zach’s character Dave quits his job and starts a steak sandwich food truck.  It’s nice to see that food trucks are making their way into the main stream as this trend continues to sweep across the nation.  To my knowledge, Happy Endings will be the first scripted show to incorporate a food truck into the story.  Zach tells me that they used Los Angeles based trucks in the filming of the show.  I’m sure we’ll be able to spot some of our favorites in the upcoming food truck competition episode.

Please show some support and watch Happy Endings tonight on ABC at 10pm.
