The Protective Life Food Truck Roundup returns for its fourth year on Saturday, when 15 food trucks, trailers and carts from all over Birmingham gather at Brookwood Village to serve everything from barbecue, tacos and catfish to cupcakes, doughnuts and ice cream.
The event takes place in the upper parking lot outside Macy’s, and it benefits PreSchool Partners, which prepares at-risk 3- and 4-year-olds and their parents for kindergarten in the Birmingham City Schools.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The mobile vendors taking part in the Food Truck Roundup this year are: Cantina on Wheels, Dreamcakes, Ezell’s Catfish Cabin, Goodies Ice Cream, Greg’s Hot Dogs, Heavenly Donut Co., Mellow Mushroom, Melt, Neal’s on Wheels, Off the Hook, Full Moon Bar-B-Que, Repicci’s Italian Ice, NOLA Ice, Slice, and Shindigs Catering.
Beverages will include beer from Good People Brewing Company and Supreme Beverage, as well as free Coca-Cola products.
Advance tickets are $20 and will be available online at www.preschool-partners.org through 4 p.m. today. Tickets will be $25 at the gate on Saturday. Children 10 and under get in free.
Each ticket includes four tokens redeemable for food and drinks at any of the trucks or beverage stations. Additional tokens will be on sale, too.
