Question: What is your story?
Answer: Leah Stewart has owned the Louisville Dessert Truck since 2011.
Q: What food do you serve?
A: We serve dessert. That includes brownies, CookieWiches, Turtle Sticks, BigModjeskas, assorted ice cream novelties, sometimes, pie, sometimes cake — whatever I’m in the mood to make. The most popular items are the Maker’s Mark Bourbon Ball Brownie and CookieWich.
Q: How do people find you?
A: People find us at the webpage of the Louisville Food Truck Association, or on Facebook.
Q: What’s your beef?
A: I enjoy food trucking. No real “beefs.”
Q: Which food truck inspires you?
A: I love seeing all the new trucks coming into the Louisville market. I enjoy helping people chase their dream of being a small business owner. I help teach a Food Truck Class a few times a year and love meeting the aspiring food truck owners.
Q: How can Louisville grow its food truck culture?
A: The movement is doing fine on its own. This industry is like any other. Some people are successful, Some are not. Just like restaurants, some thrive, some don’t.
Q: What is your mission?
A: As a pastry chef, I like the look on people’s faces when they bite into something yummy. “Mmmmm” is my favorite word.
