There is a new food truck in town offering hibachi and sushi.
On Friday, Neosho Area Chamber of Commerce members welcomed Mizumi Hibachi & Sushi Japanese Express, located at 107 S. Neosho Blvd., with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
“We are trying to looking for a place (that had no Japanese food), so we can come in and we try to serve good quality (food),” said Alex Hidayat, owner of Mizumi Hibachi & Sushi Japanese Express.
The food truck opened about a month and a half ago and is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. they offer a wide range of items from hibachi chicken, steak, shrimp, vegetables, scallops to appetizers such as spring roll to edamame to seaweed salad. They also offer sushi such as a California roll to veggie roll to speciality rolls such as the Neosho roll (shrimp tempura, cream cheese, topped with spicy tuna and special sauce). They also offer catering.
“I have been cooking for 19 years,” Hidayat said.
The business employs eight people and it has been busy, with people standing in line for their products.
“I love Neosho. and I think the community here in Neosho. They like us too,” he said.
In the future, they plan on putting more items on the menu and also a building for an inside location.
