This Saturday, when the sun is shining and you are fighting the urge to just hop in a car and go to the shore, why not steer those wheels over towards Penn Treaty Park, where the Pie in the Sky Kite & Food Truck Festival will be going on in the most perfect of weather conditions.
There will be kites, music, food, fun, sunshine, good vibes … we could go on, and you know what, we will. All day long, there’ll be jams from the Philadelphia German Brass Band, along with food fromVernilicious, Sweetbox, Pitrucco, Zsa’s Ice Cream, and FooTruck.
And what about the children (and people who like kites)? You can “bring a kite or make your own at our kids kite workshop,” and prizes will be given out for most awesome kite (natch), funniest kite, smallest flyable kite, and more. Consider this your chance to make up for all of those days you stayed in just because it was winter.
You can read more about the Pie in the Sky festival over at the Friends of the Penn Treaty Parkwebsite.
