WNCN: News, Weather for Raleigh. Durham, Fayetteville
RALEIGH, N.C. –Â Hungry folks were lining up on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh Sunday for a Food Truck Rodeo.
Thousands took advantage of the great Sunday weather to come out and sample tasty treats from more than 40 different food trucks representing all kinds of cuisine.
There were also five local breweries represented — Deep River Brewing Company, Gizmo Brew Works, Carolina Brewing Company, Aviator and Raleigh Brewing.
“I’m trying to try stuff I haven’t had before, so I’m up for anything and will eat anything,” Amanda Buck said. “I like Mexican — things like tacos or hotdogs, which are super American.”

Steve Sbraccia, WNCN
Sunday’s event was expanded from the last Rodeo to accommodate more people and more food tricks.
They’ll be two more Food Truck Rodeos in the downtown this year. The next one will be Aug. 11 and will run until 9 p.m.
Sunday’s Rodeo ended at 5 p.m.
