Rochester, NY: Food Truck Pilot Under Evaluation

By Contributor  |  RochesterHomepage.net

Rochester’s food truck pilot program expires at the end of the year. For the first time, food trucks were allowed to set up downtown. There are several designated spots and only two food trucks can locate in each spot.

City Clerk Dan Karin is beginning to prepare a report on how the program is working. Food truck owners would like to see it expanded to additional locations. Karin said he will seek out opinions from other stakeholders, including downtown businesses, workers and bricks and mortar restaurants.

The owners of Le Petite Poutine and RocCity Sammich appeared on News 8 First at 4 to discuss their thoughts on the pilot program. To watch, click on the video above.
