(Nov. 14 , 2012) — A new dining option has roared onto campus! UTSA welcomes Biker Jim’s Gourmet Dogs, a new food truck offering gourmet sausages and brats. The food truck’s home location is near the Ximenes Garage and is open for lunch 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Monday-Friday.
The truck will move from time to time including at least one day each week at the Downtown Campus, weather permitting. Plans include sales at UTSA residential housing areas during the late-night hours.
Biker Jim’s serves a great-tasting selection of gourmet sausages, such as Elk Jalapeno Cheddar and Texas Wild Boar, with meats and sausages that are naturally hormone free and processed without the use of sodium nitrates. Biker Jim’s also offers a wide variety of delicious brats served on a fresh, hot bun with cream cheese and caramelized onions.
“We are always conducting research to understand students’ needs and preferences and are excited to add a mobile food truck to serve the campus community,” said Louis Keefe, resident district manager of ARAMARK. “Biker Jim’s is a great addition to UTSA’s dining program.”
