Seattle, WA: Nosh, The Food Truck Takes Off; Serafina Throws a Garden Party

Nosh, The Food Truck officially launches Wednesday at Hilliard’s in Ballard. Owned by Josh Downey and Londoner Harvey Wolff, nothing on the pub-inspired menu is priced higher than $10. Nosh will serve the likes of meatloaf sandwiches, chicken and mushroom pies and “Seattle Fried Rabbit” (confit rabbit with cabbage, apples and frites) from 3:00 to 11:00 p.m. tomorrow at the brewery on 1550 NW 49th St. The opening also includes a classic car display and pints poured by ladies from the Tilted Thunder Rail Birds roller derby league.


In other news, Eastlake’s Serafina and sister restaurant Cicchetti present an Italian Garden Party Extravaganza this Sunday from 1:00 to 10:00 p.m. Whole-roasted hog on a spit? Check. Rosé station? Check. Photo booth? Check. The third annual summertime event at 2043 Eastlake Ave. E also includes an Iron Bartender contest, staff talent show and live music. Admission is free, with food and drink tickets available for $5 each.
