A popular food cart that was stolen from the food pavilion on Southeast 50th Ave. near Division Street was found early Tuesday morning.
Tequila Azul, a truck worth more than $30,000, was found in Northwest Portland with over $6,000 in damages, said owner Alfredo Franco.
“This is how we find it,” Franco. “It’s a lot of mess,” he added.
Azul had been open just four months before the truck was stolen.
“You’re not expecting something like this,” he said.
Someone called police when they spotted the truck at Northwest 23rd and Roosevelt about 2 a.m., according to investigators.
Witnesses and neighbors in the area said they saw a pea green pickup tow the good cart out from behind a locked gate.
