Larkin Square was packed Tuesday night for the First Food Truck Tuesday of the year. People flocked to get some of their favorite cuisine on four wheels. And as Time Warner Cable News reporter Alex Haight explains, several trucks are expanding their business thanks to publicity they've received at the event.

The first event of 2015 takes place at the square located behind the Larkin Exchange Building tonight, May 5th, with a Cinco de Mayo theme.

The 30-foot-long Big Blue food truck, the product of the University at Buffalo's affiliated Campus Dining and Shops, will begin service at noon before the Bulls' men's football game against Duquesne, which kicks off at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in UB Stadium.

We have yet to taste a Philly Cheesesteak from the new blue truck let alone lay eyes on a photo of one, so we can’t report on the authenticity of their product just yet. However, I can assure you that our in-house, self-proclaimed cheesesteak expert is on it and will report back soon.

Food Truck Tuesday is a phenomenon that is in major metropolitan cities such as Phoenix, Austin, and San Diego.

Every Tuesday, May through October, in Larkin Square.

Buffalo is getting a Polish food truck.

Now that the Buffalo food truck scene is running full throttle, with a diversified presence in the community, it’s time to vote for your favorite truck.

The Buffalo food trucks that have grown in popularity in the last two seasons are now regular inhabitants of the Larkin Square on Tuesday evenings throughout the warmer months.
