Food trucks these days are big business. Midway Ford out in Doral hopes a collection of at least ten trucks will bring in car buyers and fun seekers alike.
“We did something like this twenty years ago,” recalls sales manager Rafael Gil. “We had a circus, old cars. But that was many moons ago.”
Tonight’s gathering is the first at Midway Ford. It is also something new for the trucks, which have been chased out of locations including the VFW just off Biscayne Boulevard due to alleged code violations.
Invited to tonight’s gathering are Latin Burger, Dim Ssam a Go Go, Daddy’s Grill, Sugar Rush, Mexzican Gourmet, Latin House Grill, Churromania and Ms.Cheezious, among others.
Gil says “it will bring people in from all over the place,” adding, “and maybe it will sell a few cars.”
