VANDALIA —  Barbecue, Cuban food and fried foods are just a taste of what attendees of Vandalia’s first Food Truck Rally can expect to try on Friday, according to Rich Hopkins, city spokesman.

This public event is being hosted by the Vandalia Community Farmers Market and will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. at Seger Park, located next to the Vandalia Senior Center at 21 Tionda Drive.

Some of the 10 food trucks scheduled to participate include El Meson, Dayton Urban BBQ, and Harvest Mobile Cuisine. Other event highlights include activities for children and live music by the 1 Plus 1 Duo featuring Tammy Powell.

Motorists should be aware that Perry Street will be closed from National Road to Tionda Drive for the event.
