Why wait 45 minutes for your pizza to bake on fabulous summer day when you could chow down outside—in parks, even. That’s the beauty of a new truck operated by deep dish stuffed pizza maker Giordano’s, which we found parked on lower Michigan Avenue.
We snacked on a six-inch individual cheese pie with fixings before visiting the Art Institute’s Impressionism, Fashion and Modernity exhibition (where we sucked in our guts looking at all the Renoir, Manet, and Seurat portraits of corseted beauties).
Thank goodness we packed the Spanx, because helpful sites such as Chicago Magazine Food Truck twitter feed and Roaming Hunger point the way to the current locations of 20 more of the city’s best truck-based treats.
