Off the Grid: Fort Mason Center Vendor Application

Off the Grid is happy to announce that our application process is officially open for our 2011 Fort Mason Center market. All interested vendors please see below for information on becoming a vendor.

About Off the Grid Fort Mason Center:
Off the Grid Fort Mason Center is the Bay Area’s premier destination for gourmet Asian and Latin Street food. Attracting thousands of visitors each Friday, Off the Grid Fort Mason Center is located on the Fort Mason Center Campus just minutes from San Francisco’s Marina District and the Golden Gate Bridge. OtG:FMC is open Friday evenings from 5pm-10pm and features over 30 gourmet Asian and Latin Street Food vendors, artisanal spirits, and amazing live music throughout the night. All OtG markets seek to support small local food artisans making the transition to selling great food professionally.
Who we’re looking for:
Are you a professional chef with a passion for Asian or Latin food that is currently unavailable in the Bay Area? Are you a committed foodie who is ready for a career change, and willing to make the leap from informal to professional food service? Are you a seasoned caterer that is interested in highlighting a specific product or food type? If you are any of the above, Off the Grid Fort Mason Center would be happy to have you apply to participate in our market.
What you should have before applying to participate:
1) Fridays from 3pm-11pm available for the markets.
2) A strong core menu with no more than 3-5 items and a focus on Asian, Latin, or Asian/Latin Fusion foods.
3) Access to a legal restaurant or commercial kitchen where you can prepare and cook your food.
4) Ability to provide documentation for Business License, Liability Insurance, and Certified Food Handling Procedure prior to Feb 25th.
5) A willingness to make a long term market commitment from March to October 2011.
What does it cost?
The 2010 OtG FMC cost 60$ and 10% of gross sales per event. Expect 2011 OtG FMC to cost approximately the same amount. Included in this price is limited power for your appliances, garbage for the event space, and all event hosting fees.
