This Saturday, Philadelphia food trucks will battle for supremacy at the third annual Vendy Awards, an event from NYC’s Street Vendor Project that serves as a fundraiser for The Food Trust. The all-day fest brings 18 mobile kitchens to Penn Treaty Park for a sidewalk chef cook-off.

A $45 ticket (available here) includes all you can eat from the trucks, plus all you can drink beer from Brooklyn Brewery. At the end, you’ll get to vote on your favorite, and a panel of judges will crown a winner in both savory and sweet categories. Click through below to meet the vendors and find out more about their tasty specialties.

The Cow and The Curd

About: Rob Mitchell and Laura Windham-Mitchell launched their truck selling battered, fried cheese curds in late January of this year.

Most Popular Item: Classic curds (a white and yellow cheddar mix)

New Item: Sun-dried tomato and garlic in yellow cheddar curds

Favorite Dish From Another Truck: “It’s a toss-up between the pulled pork grilled cheese by Vernalicious and Spot Burgers‘ Drunken Pork sandwich.”
