More than 20 of the city's favorite mobile kitchens will be parked at 1902 Washington, 2-8 p.m. Saturday, for the Best Damn Food Truck Festival Ever.

Newer food trucks popping up in the metro area such as the Spot and Magnolia Kitchen & Grocery serve up items like stuffed mushrooms and braised pork over grits, the kind of foodie flair associated with places like Austin and Portland.
For this inaugural festival, local restaurants and food trucks will gather to compete in three competitions: Best Overall, Best Classic Burger and Anything But Beef.
Food trucks from the Chicago area are firing up the griddles and putting their trucks in gear, bound for Winnetka.
"We are not a food fest, but we understand that people are going to be out there for six hours and we want to provide amenities," said fest director Frank Malfitano. "At the same time, we understand our audience is looking for something different, something creative."
Food trucks will shift the competition into high gear as they compete for the Grand Prize, Best Presentation and People’s Choice awards.
Here’s a few food truck events you can look forward to this Spring season.
On Saturday, October 26 starting at 9AM, 25+ Food Trucks will be at Raceway Park in Englishtown with a craft beer garden too.
